Clean Water is Good for Business

by Reconnect Klamath | Apr 18, 2021 | Agriculture, Basin Life, Water | 0 comments

Completed water irrigation system on a farm. The irrigation machinery’s base is dark green, and the pipes are red. Near the irrigation system is an old red wood barn, barbed wire fence and mountains in the background.

Trout Unlimited is partnering with farmers, ranchers and local contractors in the Upper Basin to improve irrigation practices and restore wetlands. The end result is cleaner water in Upper Klamath Lake and, ultimately, the Klamath River. These efforts also lower regulatory burdens on farmers and ranchers and improve water quality for everyone. Learn more about these efforts.
